Which one of the following events should be added to track & field meets in Montana?

Bozeman Track Club
"All-Comer's" Indoor Track & Field Meet

Love indoor track & field? Want to get a jump start on the outdoor season and can’t wait --- then you have to get entered in this indoor track meet!

In its 5th year of hosting the “All-Comer’s” indoor meet, the Bozeman Track Club sets the stage for another great afternoon of track & field on Sunday, January 28th. The meet will be held in the M.S.U. Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the 200-meter track of Worthington Arena. This will be the only non-collegiate indoor track meet to be held in the M.S.U. fieldhouse during the 2007 season.

A true “All-Comer’s” indoor track meet, the meet is open to elementary, middle school, high school, open, and masters. Age divisions for the younger age groups (i.e., elementary and middle school) are determined based on date of birth versus year in school. Coaches, former athletes and parents are welcome to compete in this meet. USA Track & Field membership is not required, but recommended. Photos and results from the last two years are posted on the track & field page of www.mtusatf.org.

New this year is a “Throws Fest” hosted by Montana State University’s throws coach, Mike Carignan, assisted by former athlete and USATF Level I coach, Justin Jessop. The “Throws Fest” will include a clinic on the weight throw and shot put in the morning, followed by competition in both events in the afternoon. Athletes may bring their own athletes; however, implements will be available for use.

Field events will begin at 11:00 A.M. with track events starting at 12:00 P.M. Doors open at 9:00 A.M. Track events will be set on a rolling schedule with prelims and finals in the 55-meter hurdles and 55-meter dash. Last track event of the day will consist of a co-ed 4 x 200 meter relay. Track athletes will be seeded in heats according to time entered on the entry form. Competition shoes are permitted with 1/8” exposed cone spikes only, no needle nose spikes. Doors open at 9:00 AM.

Medals are awarded to the top five finishers in each age division with hats, T-shirts, and USATF apparel available. Unlimited number events available for high school athletes. Maximum of three events for youth, open and masters. Entry fee of $10.00/athlete should be postmarked by no later than Saturday, January 21st with a $5 late fee assessed for entries received after Wednesday, January 24th.

For more information on entry forms, schedule of events, and rules of competition contact Dave Skelton., P.O. Box 651, Bozeman, MT 59771-0651; e-mail at bztkclub@bresnan.net, or visit the Montana USA Track & Field Association website at www.mtusatf.org.

Don’t wait --- the outdoor season is less than three months away!
