Masters Athletes
USATF's Masters programs offer a variety of competitive and fitness opportunities in track & field, long distance running, and race walking.
Competitions generally take place in 5-year age divisions. Age divisions begin at age 30 for track & field and race walking, and at age 40 for long distance running.

Masters (Senior News)
The Montana Senior Olympic Games for men and women who are fifty years and older are scheduled for June 9-11 in Great Falls. Facilities at the Great Falls High School on 2nd Avenue S will be the venue for the Track & Field competition on Saturday, June 11.
Bob Stingley will be the commissioner in charge of the event. Field events will begin at 10:00 am and the track events at 11:00 am.
There will be a 5K Road Race on Thursday, June 9 at 6:00 pm and a 10K Road Race on Friday, June 10 at 8:45 am. Commissioner for these two runs will be Greg Hall. The 1500M Racewalk open competition will be on the Great Falls High School track at noon on Friday followed by the 1000M Novice at 12:30 pm. On Saturday, June 11 at 9:00 am the 5000M Racewalk open competition and the 2000M novice will be conducted. Race walking commissioners and judges include Ken Chomo, Denny Huffard and Kay Newman.
The hammer and weight throws will be held at the Sager Throwing Facility on Daisy Dean Road near Wilsall on Sunday, June 5 at 2;00 pm. For directions to his ranch email Bob Sager at hammerbeef@aol.com.
All ability levels are encouraged to participate. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded in each of the five year age groups (50-54, 55-59, 60-64, etc). There are no residency requirements. Entry books have been mailed to former participants. For information or to receive an entry book call 406-586-5543 or email kayjn@imt.net. Early registration with a $10 fee closes on May 23. After that date, the registration fee is $20 with the final deadline for entries being May 27.
