OFFICIALS AND CERTIFICATION
Montana now has several USATF certified officials to officiate track meets, road races and race walks. A list of these officials, and their area of expertise, can be obtained from the Montana Official chairperson or from the Officials area of this web site. USATF Montana encourages events to make use of these officials, who are knowledgeable both in their respective sports and in USATF rules and procedures. Montana has officials that are certified for both state and national competition. Information on becoming a USATF certified official may be obtained by contacting our officials chairperson, Dennis Grue, at P.O. Box 158, Manhattan, MT 59741. Requirements to become an official include a competency test, a processing fee, and a desire to officiate. You may also reach Dennis by email: dmgrue@msn.com
