INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS

Individual membership for youth is $19.95, adult $29.95. Individual athletes provide the main support for USA TRACK & FIELD in Montana and throughout the country. For the fee, athletes, coaches, officials, parents and interested individuals receive insurance coverage to, from and during USATF sanctioned meets and races; information on USATF events and people in the state and nation; and certification of their eligibility to compete in such events as national marathons and state sanctioned events. All individuals applying for membership must be residents of the United States.

LOGO REGULATION USE

The USA TRACK & FIELD logo MAY ONLY BE USED by those clubs and organizations that fill out a trademark license agreement with the state organization. The logo is a registered trademark of USA Track & Field. It may not be altered in any way, and the "R" designation must accompany its use. Type style and graphics may not be changed. The name USA Track & Field must be spelled out; the only correct acronym is USATF. Slick sheets are available for club and organization use by contacting the state office and in the sanction packets. Artwork & graphics should be approved by the national office to make sure the logo is being used properly and is not on any conflicting material or sports apparel. Several other restrictions apply (i.e. on size, etc.) so all use should be checked and approved by the state or national office.

OFFICIALS AND CERTIFICATION

Montana now has several USATF certified officials to officiate track meets, road races and race walks. A list of these officials, and their area of expertise, can be obtained from the Montana Official chairperson or from the Officials area of this web site. USATF Montana encourages events to make use of these officials, who are knowledgeable both in their respective sports and in USATF rules and procedures. Montana has officials that are certified for both state and national competition. Information on becoming a USATF certified official may be obtained by contacting our officials chairperson, Dennis Grue, at P.O. Box 158, Manhattan, MT 59741. Requirements to become an official include a competency test, a processing fee, and a desire to officiate.
